The world is turbulent and chaotic, our lives busy and lived at high velocity. What we need now more than ever is the chance to relax, to unwind and offload the stress and pressures of life.
Treat yourself to an hour of relaxation once a month in the comfort of your own home. Using the ancient yoga technique of yoga nidra, you will experience the deepest rest and profound relaxation leading to a sense of new energy and renewal.
Known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”, yoga nidra is a process of guided meditation taking you to a state between sleeping and waking. This a “hypnagogic state” produces relaxing alpha and delta brain waves. It releases subconscious thinking patterns, produces happiness chemicals of oxytocin and serotonin promoting deep relaxation, healing, physical and mental renewal.
No experience is needed, just a surface to lie on, a blanket, a cushion and comfy warm clothing.
What to expect:
Some gentle movement and stretching to release tension from the body
Lying down, withdrawing senses – closing eyes, keeping still
Setting an intention or san kalpa, inviting a new quality or experience into your life.
A guided voice mediation involving breathing, body scan, visualisation.

When it happens:
The first Tuesday in every month 6 – 7pm.
£10 per session or £27.50 for 3 classes booked in advance – to be taken in a 12 week period.
